關於本劇
艾美葛瑞是一位紐約公司法的律師，與丈夫分居中，協同女兒蘿倫返回家鄉與擔任社工師的母親梅辛葛瑞同住，並即將在友人的推薦下出任少年法庭的少年法官。 法外柔情描述的是艾美如何面對這場改變帶來的個人與職業以及個人與家庭之間的困難。 這部影集的靈感來自於艾美布萊尼曼 (本片的女主角及製片人)的母親–一位高等法院女法官–的親身經驗。
